History
InterCorps Council Colorado in not a new idea. In fact, there are intercorps councils in existance across the country. Each state that hosts national service programs is encouraged to have an intercorps council.
InterCorps Council Colorado was first assembled in 1998. The focus has always been on enhancing the national service experience for those serving in Colorado. Meetings, trainings, shadowing programs, and forums for members to voice their ideas and opinions are a few of the activities that past ICCs have used to further their mission. Despite many accomplishments and efforts to create sustainability, ICC has faded in and out over the years. In the eleventh year since its first creation, hopes are to revive and establish a permanent spot for InterCorps Council Colorado among national service members serving past, present, and future in the state of Colorado.
